Ginger Pork Recipe

  • 6 pork chops or steaks
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • shake of pepper
  • ¼ cup of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of malt vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger
  • 1 cup of pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

Mix the ground ginger, salt, paprika, pepper and flour together in a bowl. Coat the pork chops or steaks with the mixture. Place in a baking dish or pan. Mix the remaining ingredients together and pour over the meat. Bake for one hour at 180°C, 350°F, gas mark 4 or simmer in a pan for 45 minutes. Serve with rice.

Variation: Omit the soy sauce and fresh ginger, and replace with 1 tablespoon of preserved crystallized ginger.
