Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe

  • 115 grams / 4 oz of butter
  • 115 grams / 4 oz of white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 25 grams / 1 oz of cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 140 grams / 5 oz of flour
  • 115 grams / 4 oz of raisins (optional)
  • 55 grams / 2 oz of chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat the oven to 200°C, 390°F or gas mark 5½. Cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl. Add the eggs and beat lightly. Add the sifted cocoa, flour, baking powder, walnuts and raisins and mix well to combine. Spoon into patty cups orgreased patty tins. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
